Johdee Mineral Processing has a defined sustainability strategy which emphasizes firstly the safety of its employees. This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that both the Morupule and Masama plants have never experienced a Lost Time Injury in the respective 2 years and 5 years since commissioning. Preventing and treating chronic illnesses brought on by workplace health stressors is our main goal. Johdee Mineral processing understands that water is a scarce resource in Botswana, therefore both Masama and Morupule plants are equipped with a filter press. This ensures maximum extraction of water from slurry.Both the Morupule and Masama Handling and Preparation Plant has a nameplate capacity of 250 tph, this water is then reused in the coal washing process.

Waste management and the use of environmentally friendly chemicals are also prioritized by the company, ensuring that we adhere to the ISO 14001: standards at all times.
